The KershawHealth Summer Teen Volunteer program offers area teens an opportunity to explore potential career goals while giving back to their community. This program also provides fellowship and an opportunity to acquire work skills, while enjoying an up-close-and-personal view of the inside workings of a healthcare facility.
Teen volunteers work with the KershawHealth staff and adult volunteers. Many teen volunteers make long-range career decisions during their summer experience.
The program, which begins in June and ends in August, is available for Kershaw County teens who are at least 14 years old by May 30th. Candidates must be entering the 9th grade or higher.
Applications are available at the beginning of April and are due by late April/early May. Required paperwork, and a mandatory interview and attendance at orientation must all be completed to participate in this volunteer program.
Teen volunteer positions/placement vary from year to year. These positions will be filled by the first qualified applicants who submit completed applications and forms, and who attend the mandatory interview and orientation.
For more information on the program, please contact our Teen Volunteer Coordinator at (803) 713-1223 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
