Our Rehab Team
Rena Taylor is a Physical Therapist and the Director of Rehabilitation Services.
Rena earned a Bachelor of Physical Therapy Degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1989. She began working at KershawHealth in Inpatient and Outpatient Care after graduating. She moved to the West Wateree Rehabilitation Services to focus more on Outpatient Care in 1997 when the facility opened. Rena has experience treating multiple diagnoses ranging from orthopedic to neurological in the inpatient, outpatient, and aquatic settings. Rena has been the Director of Rehab Services since 2010.
Rena, a native of Kershaw County, still resides in Camden with her husband and 3 children.
Darryl Ussery is a Physical Therapist Assistant and Clinical Coordinator for the Inpatient Rehab at KershawHealth.
Darryl received his Bachelor’s degree at Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC and his Associates Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Greenville Technical College in 1996. Darryl immediately took a position with KershawHealth in August of 1996 working in Inpatient/Outpatient care and eventually transitioning completely to inpatient care. Darryl works with many diagnoses throughout the hospital setting and does extensive work with KershawHealth’s Joint Replacement Center.
Darryl is a lifelong resident of Kershaw, SC where he resides with his wife and 2 children.
Tonya Edgerton is a Physical Therapist Assistant and Clinical Coordinator at West Wateree Rehab in Lugoff, SC.
Tonya received her Associates Degree as Physical Therapist Assistant from Greenville Technical College in 1994 and immediately took a position with KershawHealth working in Inpatient/Outpatient Care and eventually transitioning to Outpatient Care at West Wateree in 1997 when the facility opened. Tonya works with many diagnoses ranging from orthopedic to neurological and is also trained in Vestibular Rehab. She has also worked PRN with Kershaw HomeHealth early in her career.
Tonya is a lifelong resident of Kershaw County with her husband, 2 children and 3 grandchildren.
Amy Faulkenberry is a Physical Therapist and Clinical Coordinator at Kershaw Physical Therapy as well as a Physical Therapist at West Wateree Rehab.
Amy received her undergraduate education from University of South Carolina, graduating with a Bachelor in Exercise Science. In 2010, she earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from MUSC. Amy not only works with many diagnosis ranging from orthopedic to neurological she has extensive training in Vestibular Rehabilitation and certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling.
Originally from the upstate of South Carolina, where she began her career, Amy moved to Camden in 2011. She began working for Kershaw Health in October of 2011 and still resides in Camden with her husband and 3 young children.
Jenny Pearson is a Physical Therapist at West Wateree Rehabilitation. Jenny received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and her Masters of Physical Therapy from Widenner University in Pennsylvania in 2000. Jenny works with many diagnoses ranging from orthopedic to neurological and is certified in Trigger Point dry needling. She has worked at West Wateree Rehabilitation since 2006.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Jenny grew up in Columbia, SC and currently resides there with her husband and 2 children.
Monica Goodwin is a Physical Therapist at West Wateree Rehab.
Monica received her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina (2008). She later attended the University of Maryland Eastern Shore where she earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (2012). She enjoys treating patients with various conditions including orthopedics, neurological, and strengthening interventions to reduce the impact of age related changes. She is also certified in Trigger Point dry needling.
Monica is a native of Orangeburg, SC and now resides in Columbia.
Ryan Self is an inpatient Physical Therapist at KershawHealth.
Ryan received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology at Brigham Young University – Idaho and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 2017. Ryan began working at KershawHealth shortly after graduating from Physical Therapy school and currently works in the inpatient rehab department where he provides treatment to a variety of diagnoses and conditions in order to help people regain their mobility and independence.
Ryan was born in Washington State where he lived for 20 years before moving to Idaho where he met his wife while they were both attending college. Ryan enjoys cycling, fly fishing and spending time with his family. Ryan and his wife currently reside in Camden, SC and have 1 son but are hoping to have more children in the near future.
Elizabeth (Libby) Martin is a Physical Therapist Assistant, Certified Aquatic Exercise Instructor and Community Aquatics Coordinator at West Wateree Rehab.
Libby graduated from Greenville Technical College with an Associates degree in Physical Therapy in 1981 and began working for KershawHealth the same year. She has completed extensive training in aquatics and works with patients in both the pool and clinical settings. She also serves as the coordinator for the water aerobics program which provides classes to the community.
Libby is a lifelong resident of Kershaw County and currently resides in Lugoff with her husband and children.
Jill Ludy is a Physical Therapist Assistant at West Wateree Rehab.
Jill received her Associates degree of Health Science in Physical Therapy from Midlands Technical College in 2004. Jill joined the KershawHealth team in February 2005. She primarily works in outpatient rehab and has training in aquatic therapy and a certification in fascial movement taping. Jill has experience working with a variety of diagnoses ranging from orthopedic to neurological.
Jill is a native of Kershaw County and resides in Elgin with her husband and 3 children.
Terri Mayes is a Physical Therapist Assistant at West Wateree Rehab in Lugoff, SC. Terri received her Associates Degree as a PTA from Trident Technical College in Charleston, SC in 1995. Terri also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Coastal Carolina in Conway, SC in 1991. Terri began her career in Florida working primarily with orthopedic patients. She moved to Lugoff in 2006 and began working for KershawHelath treating multiple diagnoses ranging from orthopedic to neurological and she has extensive training in aquatic therapy. Terri is a resident of Lugoff, SC.
Christina Riggan is Physical Therapist Assistant at West Wateree and Kershaw PT.
Christina received her Associates Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Midland Technical College in 2007 and began working at Kershaw Health Medical Center in Outpatient as well as Inpatient settings in 2008. Christina has experience working with a wide range of diagnoses in the Acute as well as Outpatient facilities. Christina is a resident of Kershaw County with her husband and 2 children.
Phil Carey, OTR/L, CHT
Phil graduated from Utica College in 1995 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Occupational Therapy. In 2006, he earned the title of Certified Hand Therapist and specializes in the treatment of upper extremity conditions with individuals of all ages.
After beginning his career in Columbia, Phil began working for Kershaw Heath in 2006. Although his main focus has been in the outpatient setting, he also has a diverse background working with individuals within the acute care, subacute, long term acute and ergonomics settings. Phil is an OT at West Wateree Rehab.
Sheila Hoskins is a nationally certified and state licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with an expertise in speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders in children and adults of all ages at KershawHealth in the inpatient and outpatient settings. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1991 and earned her Master of Speech Pathology degree in 1993 at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. She has worked in many settings including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient clinics. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association and is also certified in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) for Parkinson’s patients. Sheila has been trained in Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation/ Guardian Way for patients with difficulty swallowing. She enjoys working with clients of all ages and has a special interest in dysphagia. She currently resides in Elgin with her husband and two sons.
