A graduate of the University of Oklahoma and Washington University (St. Louis), Terry has served as the chief executive officer of a number of hospitals in South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia. He joined Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) in 1993, and held multiple senior executive positions with HCA, including CEO of Doctor's Hospital in Augusta, Trident Health System in Charleston, and President of HCA Carolina Market.
Terry has successfully launched strategic service lines, increased both inpatient and outpatient admissions, led operational excellence efforts, improved employee and physician engagement, and achieved significant earnings growth for the organizations he headed.
Having worked in hospital leadership roles for 27 years, Susan brings significant experience to her position as Chief Operating Officer and has a proven track record of service growth and quality care. Ms. Burroughs comes to Camden from Charleston where she served as Vice President Provider Solutions for Resource Partners, LLC. Prior to that, she served as Associate Chief Operating Officer for HCA, Inc.’s Corporate Executive Development Program in Nashville, TN and Associate Chief Operating Officer for Trident Medical Center in Charleston. Susan earned her B.S. in biology from California State University in Northridge and her M.H.A. (Master’s in Health Administration) from the University of Southern California School of Policy, Planning and Development in Los Angeles and was chosen Dean’s Merit Scholar. She has earned certifications in Six Sigma Green Belt from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, LEAN Healthcare from the Belmont University, Jack C. Massey Graduate School and Management of Ambulatory Care Systems from the University of Southern California School of Policy, Planning and Development.
Phil Childree joined KershawHealth in 2018 and provides direction and oversight for all financial operations. With 20 years in the healthcare industry, he has served in financial leadership roles in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Alabama. Phil comes to KershawHealth from North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, Alabama where he served for four years. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Business Administration from Troy University. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
Chief Nursing Officer
A graduate of Lugoff-Elgin High School, Stacy received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in nursing degrees from the University of South Carolina and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership from the University of North Florida.Stacy joined KershawHealth as a staff nurse in 1998 and has served in various leadership positions over the years. She was a Palmetto Gold Nursing Excellence Award winner in 2006 and the USC College of Nursing Alumna of the Year in 2016. In addition, Stacy is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality; Nurse Executive, Advanced - Board Certified; Certified Executive in Nursing Practice; and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. She currently serves as President of the USC College of Nursing Executive Advisory Board, the SCHA Solutions Board, is President-elect of the SC Organization of Nurse Leaders, and a member of the State Board of Nursing’s Investigative Review Committee.
Martha Baker RN, BA
Director of Quality
Martha has been in the healthcare industry for over 33 years. She has a diverse clinical nursing background with ER, ICU, physician office and Operating Room nursing and management experience. She began her first role in quality leadership over 10 years ago.
Martha comes to KershawHealth from Carolina Pines in Hartsville, SC where she was the CQO for 3 years having previously served in similar roles at hospitals in Missouri and Illinois.
She received her A.D.N. from Southeastern Community College, Burlington, IA and Bachelor of Healthcare Administration from Ashford University, Clinton, IA. Martha is currently enrolled at Western Governor’s University working on her Master of Science in Integrated Healthcare Management to be completed in 2019.
She is a member of the NAHQ (National Association of Healthcare Quality) and ASHRM (American Society of Healthcare Risk Management).
Angela joined KershawHealth in 2001 as the Director of Human Resources. Prior to joining the medical center Angela was a Senior Human Resources Manager for IKON Office Solutions for the Southeastern Region. Angela also worked as a paralegal for 8 years in Miami, Indianapolis and Washington, DC.
Angela received her Bachelor of Science degree in consumer economics from the University of Georgia.
Angela is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Association (ASHHRA) and has served as President and a Board Member of the South Carolina Healthcare Human Resources Association (SCHHRA).
